I've seen many reports of stripped out cam bolts from novices to professionals doing cam sprocket removals on these cars, but for me this took less than a minute and the bolt is in perfect condition.

IT IS AWESOME!I have been working on Subarus for 15 years now, and somehow never knew about this company or the Subaru valve spring compressor. Of all specialty tools I have ever bought, the valve spring compressor from this company might be the most satisfying to work with.

Must have tool, great first buy. At the shop, somebody always has the Subaru one, having this in my drawer saves the searching. Every bit as good, very affordable. Great for use with with engine installed as the depth allows room in front of radiator.

This tool was awesome. I had to put a new timing belt on my 04 Forester and this tool made the job go so much smoother. For me this was my first ever timing belt replacement on a subaru. I was paranoid about messing something up or not getting the timing set right. After doing the job I see no other way to easily and quickly do the job without this tool.
